Struggling with unexplained fatigue, brain fog, or persistent digestive issues? Could hidden allergens in your diet be the culprit behind your health troubles? It’s time to uncover how allergies might be affecting your well-being and discover the steps to reclaim your health. This article will delve into the impact of common allergens and reveal why identifying and addressing them is crucial for your overall wellness. Here’s what you’ll learn:

  • How hidden allergens in your diet could be causing unexpected health issues and cognitive difficulties.
  • The signs and symptoms of allergy-related health problems that you might be overlooking.
  • Effective strategies to identify and manage allergens, and the positive changes you can expect in your health.

How Allergies Impact Brain Health and Cognitive Clarity

This article explores how wheat, dairy, corn, soy, and processed sugar can significantly affect your health, particularly your brain health. When we mention “dairy,” we are referring specifically to milk products, though butter is generally considered acceptable due to its high fat content.

These five common allergens can trigger gut inflammation, which often leads to cognitive difficulties. Reflecting on my own experience, I struggled with mood swings and cognitive challenges during high school, largely due to allergies to these foods. I found it hard to succeed in math, a subject I was told would be crucial for higher education. Despite pursuing a career in the sciences, mastering advanced math like trigonometry or calculus was not necessary for me.

While studying to become a Diplomat of the International Board of Applied Kinesiology, I discovered that different parts of the brain handle different functions. The left brain is responsible for analytical tasks, while the right brain handles creative activities. Tryptophan, a neurotransmitter that supports both brain hemispheres, is produced when protein is properly metabolized and absorbed.

Applied Kinesiology highlights the roles of the right and left brain. The right side of the brain, which controls the left side of the body, deals with intuitive, creative, and abstract aspects. It may be assessed through tasks like humming a melody. This part of the brain is associated with positivity, intuition, and a sense of timelessness. Key nutrients supporting right-brain function include vitamin E, zinc, estrogen, alkaline minerals, and nutrients related to the gonads.

Conversely, the left brain, which controls the right side of the body, focuses on logical, analytical, and practical tasks. Its function can be tested through activities such as counting backward from 100 while skipping digits or solving multiplication problems.

Key nutrients that support both left and right brain activity include vitamin B6 (pyridoxal-5-phosphate), vitamin A, iron, copper, folic acid, tryptophan, and tyrosine. Heavy metal toxicity can disrupt both hemispheres of the brain. As a San Francisco native exposed to lead and other heavy metals in tap water, I experienced cognitive challenges, such as difficulty with trigonometry and calculus. Despite my interest in science, I struggled with these subjects due to the combined effects of heavy metal exposure, food allergies, and early vaccinations. My father, trained in traditional medicine, wouldn’t have considered these factors as causes for my academic difficulties.

The Connection Between Gut Health and Brain Function

Digestive issues can hinder nutrient absorption, affecting cognitive clarity. Essential nutrients like minerals and proteins are broken down and absorbed in the stomach and intestines. Problems in these areas can impair neurotransmitter function, impacting sleep, decision-making, and overall mental clarity. Food allergies, particularly to substances like wheat, dairy, soy, corn, shellfish, onions, nuts, and garlic, often stem from digestive problems and can lead to unstable blood sugar levels.

Growing up in San Francisco, I was allergic to many foods, including corn, which exacerbated my cognitive and mood issues. Corn, in particular, is known to cause dermatitis, diarrhea, depression, and dementia. While all allergens can be problematic, corn is often linked directly to mood and brain issues. In clinical settings, patients with high corn consumption frequently exhibit symptoms such as depression and digestive disorders. The supraspinatus muscle, related to brain function, may weaken if you consume corn and have mood disorders.

I encourage you to explore the negative effects of wheat, dairy, corn, soy, and processed sugar. Consider reducing or eliminating these from your diet. Useful resources include “Lick the Sugar Habit,” “Wheat Belly,” “Sugar Blues,” “The Sugar Control Bible and Cookbook,” and “Gut and Psychology Syndrome,” as well as the documentary “King Corn.”

Although allergy testing can be helpful, it only provides a snapshot of your health at a given time, which may not reflect changes over time. Laboratory tests may not always be accurate or specific enough, highlighting the importance of the healthcare provider’s expertise and interpretation skills.

Unveil Roy’s Allergy Victory: See the Stunning Health Changes He Achieved!

To help Ray with his allergies and general health we gave him several key nutrients. We gave Ray Zinc Test from Standard Process. Zinc is well known to help with allergies. It also helps with general immunity and with something called the Carbonic Anhydrase system. This is the buffer system which prevents your body from becoming too alkaline or too acidic—allowing it to stay perfectly balanced. Another important nutrient we gave Ray is something called Hypothalamus PMG as well as Symplex M.

Zinc Test – We prescribed Roy 2 dropperfuls of Zinc Test upon waking, 2 at breakfast, 2 at lunch, 2 at dinner and 2 dropperfuls before sleep. This helped him to digest his food better and improve his immunity, helping with energy and even with testosterone levels.

Hypothalamus PMG – The dosage of Hypothalamus PMG was to chew 4 with breakfast and 4 with lunch. Because Roy is a busy man with a growing family, it was very important to support his entire endocrine system. We can think of the hypothalamus as being like the composer of music that an orchestra will play. The pituitary gland is like the conductor of the orchestra. The Pineal gland is like the metronome used to keep time so everyone plays in tune simultaneously. The other endocrine glands such as the pancreas, adrenal glands, thyroid, prostate, uterus, testes and ovaries are much like the players of the orchestra.

Symplex M – Ray was instructed to chew 2 Symplex M with breakfast, 2 with lunch and 2 with dinner. Symplex M is designed for men who are under stress in their early or late 40s. It supports the pituitary, gonads and pancreas and the entire male endocrine system. It contains mineral extracts that come from these glands. It may also help with sexual dysfunction for some men…it is very supportive.
