Power Morcellators are a device that are commonly used in hysterectomies. As you know, a hysterectomy is done when a woman experiences a disease of her ovaries or uterus. The ovaries and/or uterus are removed or sometimes both are removed. When both are removed this is called a “total hysterectomy.” It would probably be a better idea to discover what is causing a woman to have disease of her reproductive organs and glands and then treat the cause of the disease in order that the disease go away rather than cutting out the actual glands and/or organs in the hope or guise that this is somehow accomplishing something or ridding the body of the disease. “Out of sight, out of mind.” As you may remember when there was the Exxon oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico, the procedure used was to add a dispersant to the oil in order to break it down.
