Hysterectomy is the second most common medical procedure in the United States.

Below here is an image of a large ovarian cancer:

Power Morcellators are a device that are commonly used in hysterectomies.  As you know, a hysterectomy is done when a woman experiences a disease of her ovaries or uterus.  The ovaries and/or uterus are removed or sometimes both are removed.  When both are removed this is called a “total hysterectomy.”  It would probably be a better idea to discover what is causing a woman to have disease of her reproductive organs and glands and then treat the cause of the disease in order that the disease go away rather than cutting out the actual glands and/or organs in the hope or guise that this is somehow accomplishing something or ridding the body of the disease.  “Out of sight, out of mind.”  As you may remember when there was the Exxon oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico, the procedure used was to add a dispersant to the oil in order to break it down.  This “dispersant” caused the oil to be less easily seen.  The only difficulty was that the dispersant was far, far more toxic than the oil itself.  Within just a few years later people all over the region started dying and fish could not be eaten.  But, the oil could not be seen: “out of sight, out of mind.”

The Power Morcellators are used to cut tissue into small pieces to be removed from the body.  The problem occurs when the targeted tissues carry undetected cancer, the cancer is then spread within the abdomen and pelvis. Many women are battling uterine cancer as result of Power Morcellators being used during their hysterectomies, and shockingly, the average life span following accidental morcellation of sarcoma is only 2436 months.  This is not a good thing.  This is bad.  The Hypocratic Oath says: “First, Do No Harm.” Death is very harmful to the health.  We do not recommend death at Triad Of Health Family Healing Center.

Johnson and Johnson, a very large manufacturer of Power Morcellators issued a voluntary return of the device.  Despite a loss in business and sales, their company executives admitted that the procedure is too risky, and decided to permanently remove all existing devices from the market that they had manufactured.  So, tell your friends and family and relatives and all women you know everywhere about this horrific device and the amazing alternative that they can find at Triad Of Health Family Healing Center and other Functional Medicine practices who use Applied Clinical Nutrition.

Here are some interesting facts below:

  • By age 70, 1/3rd of American women will have had a hysterectomy
  • 90% of hysterectomies are done to remove Fibroids (non-cancerous tumors found in the uterus).  Others are done to remove ovarian cysts and other growths in the reproductive pelvic organs.
  • If a woman receives the power morcellator procedure while she unknowingly has an undiagnosed sarcoma, the average life span following accidental morcellation of the sarcoma is only 24-36 months.
  • Only 15% of women who have leiomyosarcoma (LMS) that has spread (stage 4) will be alive after 5 years.  Of course, the power morcellator device spreads the Uterine and/or ovarian cancer.
  • Women with sarcoma who are morcellated are about 4 times more likely to die from sarcoma than if they had not been morcellated.
